What is Thy Kingdom Come?
Thy Kingdom Come is a yearly global prayer movement that runs between the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord and the Feast of Pentecost. The aim of Thy Kingdom Come is to invite and encourage Christians around the world to pray that more amd more people may to come to know the love Jesus. What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer.

Thy Kingdom Come at All Saints'
Globally, Thy Kingdom Come 2019 will run between 30 May and 9 June.  And a
t All Saints’ we will join in this wave of prayer by hosting a special event, The 40 Hours Prayer, between 30 May and 2 June. All Saints’ Church will be open daily  for a prayer relay before the Lord Jesus.

Join us to pray
  • for five people important to you (friends, family members, etc.) that they may come to know the immeasurable love of Christ;
  • for those who have lapsed from the faith; or have been hurt by the Church as an institution or by other Christians;
  • for the evangelization of our communty and of the whole country through the Catholic ministry of the Church of England.
What is The 40 Hours Prayer?
The 40 Hours Prayer is essentially an extended time of adoration and prayer before the Lord Jesus present in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. In these hours of prayer we more intently implore God with the words ‘Thy Kingdom come’; as if to say, "come in our hearts and lives, come in our society and land, come to heal our wounds, and come to renew the Church."
The 40 Hours devotion begins with the celebration of the Eucharist on Thursday 30 May at 7:30pm for the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord. At the end of this Mass the Host is placed upon the altar for adoration. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament takes place daily, as we are blessed by the One on which we have already been fed; Jesus, the bread of life.

You are very welcome to pray at church during The 40 Hours for as long or as little as you wish. If you’d like to be a steward during the prayer relay, helping to keep the church open, contact the Parish Office or Father Diego. And if you can’t physically join us in prayer send us your prayer requests, and help us intercede for you.
