Safeguarding
A safe Church for children, young people, and vulnerable adults
|
We are committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of all children within the church community, and also to encouraging all people, especially those who may be vulnerable, to worship and lead a Christian life in safety.
We are also committed to the implementation of the Diocese of St Albans Safeguarding documents, and the relevant statutory legislation and guidance for the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Every year the PCC review and agree the "Parish Safeguarding Policy" and the "Code of Conduct for Church Volunteers Working with Children and Young People". The PCC also appoint a Safeguarding Officer (or Co-ordinator) who will be responsible on behalf of the Parish Priest and PCC for implementing the Diocesan policy in respect of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
