Belief in God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is at the heart of our faith. This faith teaches us that the Father continually reveals himself to humanity and to all his creation in the person of Jesus, his Son. In the life and ministry, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ we are shown who the God really is; the God of extraordinary, all-encompassing Love. The Holy Spirit, God's Love, is the gift from the Father and the Son to Christian believers; He comes to us to dwell in our hearts as comforter and guide (John 14:26). You won’t ever be asked if you completely understand all this. But you are asked whether you believe and trust. This is called faith. It is a different sort of knowledge. It is the knowledge of being known and infinitely loved, and of loving in return. |
