At All Saints’ we are committed to offer opportunities for worship to the residents of our local care homes. We currently lead three monthly services; at Rosalyn House, Lady Spencer House, and Sharnbrook Lodge, but we are looking to extend this to other homes in Houghton Regis and North Dunstable.
The service is very informal, it lasts about 25 minutes, and it is “non-denominational” meaning that people of every Christian denomination are very welcome to take part in it. Our volunteers lead a time of singing featuring traditional and favourite hymns, two Bible readings, and a time of prayer. Our service can also be tailored to suit different occasions – for example, near Christmas Day we lead a miniature “Nine Lessons and Carols Service”. Volunteering...
